  • Barbara Grasseschi

    President

    Barbara Grasseschi enjoyed a breadth of challenging careers in finance, sales, and marketing for the high-tech industry before settling in Sonoma County in 2000.

    Barbara is an enthusiastic advocate for the potential of positive political action to strengthen the community - locally, statewide, and nationally.

    Recently named Democrat of the Year by the Sonoma County Democratic Party, Barbara serves on the Steering Committee for the Electing Women Alliance, the National Advisory Board for the Union of Concerned Scientists, and is the founder of the Wine Country Chapter of Electing Women Bay Area.

  • Carl Tennenbaum

    Secretary

    Carl Tennenbaum spent over three decades as a San Francisco Police Officer, where he specialized in community outreach and policing, with an emphasis on restorative justice and alternatives to incarceration.

    Upon retiring from police work, Carl continued his commitment to criminal justice reform and police accountability through his work with the Law Enforcement Action Network (LEAP), and as a candidate for Sonoma County Sheriff in the 2022 election, which led him to his membership with CLEAN; and through lobbying efforts at the State level.

    Carl also currently does consulting and campaign management for progressive candidates and legislation.

  • Alcina Horstman

    Treasurer

    Longtime justice advocate Alcina Horstman was one of the founding members of the Measure P ballot measure voted into law in 2020.

    Alcina has studied conflict processes extensively and has volunteered in Restorative Justice practices in Sonoma County since 2013.

    She is committed to accountability and transparency in law enforcement in Sonoma County.

  • Nancy Pemberton

    Member

    Nancy Pemberton is a retired attorney and investigator. For much of her legal career, she represented, as an attorney and/or mitigation specialist, people charged with capital crimes and facing possible execution.

    In 2000, Ms. Pemberton and a fellow investigator co-founded the Institute for International Criminal Investigations (IICI), an organization that trains professionals in the investigation of human atrocities. She continues to sit on the IICI board and serve as its Secretary/Treasurer.

    In addition to being a member of CLEAN, Ms. Pemberton is currently the Vice Chair of the Sonoma County Community Advisory Council to the Independent Office of Law Enforcement Review and Outreach.

    Kirstyne has dedicated her life to diversity, equity and inclusion. As a long-term resident of the San Francisco Bay Area, Kirstyne prides herself on her work creating and continuing important dialogues and policies of inclusion in education, government and law enforcement.
